Home

Level 10 consists of more County Leagues. There are eighteen separate divisions over the country, each focussing on a specific area.

Relegation from County Leagues is to the local leagues at Level 11.

Combined Counties League Division One

  • 18 teams
  • 34 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Three automatic promotion places to the Combined Counties League Premier Division
  • Two relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Middlesex County League and Surrey Elite Intermediate League)
  • They participate in the Combined Counties League Premier Challenge Cup and Combined Counties League Division One Challenge Cup

East Midlands Counties League

  • 19 teams
  • 36 games (play each other once home and away)
  • One automatic promotion place to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division
  • Two relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Central Midlands League South Division and Leicestershire Senior League)
  • They participate in the East Midlands Counties League Cup

Eastern Counties League Division One

  • 18 teams
  • 34 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Eastern Counties League Premier Division
  • Four relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Anglian Combination, Cambridgeshire County League, Essex & Suffolk Border League, Suffolk & Ipswich League)
  • They participate in the Eastern Counties League Challenge Cup and Eastern Counties League First Division Knock-out Cup

Essex Intermediate League

(There is no Essex league at Level 10, so I have made the Essex Olympian League Premier Division the Essex Intermediate League to allow promotion and relegation between the two leagues)

  • 14 teams
  • 26 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Essex Senior League
  • Two relegations to the Essex Olympian League Division One
  • They participate in the Essex Intermediate League Cup

Hellenic League Division One East

  • 15 teams
  • 28 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Hellenic League Premier Division
  • One relegation to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Oxfordshire Senior League)
  • They participate in the Hellenic League Challenge Cup and the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup

Hellenic League Division One West

  • 16 teams
  • 30 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Hellenic League Premier Division
  • One relegation to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Reading League)
  • They participate in the Hellenic League Challenge Cup and the Hellenic League Supplementary Cup

Kent Invicta League

  • 17 teams
  • 32 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Four automatic promotion places to the Kent Premier League
  • Two relegations to the Kent County League
  • They participate in the Kent Invicta League Challenge Trophy

Midland Football Combination Premier Division

  • 19 teams
  • 36 games (play each other once home and away)
  • One automatic promotion place to the Midland Alliance
  • Two relegations to the Midland Combination Division One
  • They participate in the Midland Combination Challenge Cup

Northern League Division Two

  • 22 teams
  • 42 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Three automatic promotion places to the Northern League Division One
  • Three relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Northern Football Alliance, Teesside League, Wearside League)
  • They participate in the Northern League Brooks Mileson Memorial League Cup and Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup

Northern Counties East League Division One

  • 22 teams
  • 42 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division
  • Six relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Central Midlands League North Division, Humber Premier League, Nottinghamshire Senior League, Sheffield & Hallamshire League, West Yorkshire League, West Riding County Amateur League)
  • They participate in the Northern Counties East League Cup and the Northern Counties East League President’s Cup

North West Counties League Division One

  • 18 teams
  • 34 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Three automatic promotion places to the North West Counties League Premier Division
  • Six relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Cheshire League, Liverpool County Premier League, Manchester League, Staffordshire County Senior League, West Cheshire League, West Lancashire League)
  • They participate in the North West Counties League Challenge Cup and the North West Counties League First Division Trophy

South West Peninsula League Premier Division

  • 19 teams
  • 36 games (play each other once home and away)
  • One automatic promotion place to the Western League Premier Division
  • Two relegations to the South West Peninsula League Division One East and two relegations to the South West Peninsula League Division One West
  • They participate in the Thogmorton Cup

Spartan South Midlands League Division One

  • 21 teams
  • 40 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division
  • One relegation place to the Spartan South Midlands League Division Two and one relegation place to the Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division
  • They participate in the Spartan South Midlands League Challenge Cup and Spartan South Midlands League Division One Trophy

Sussex County League Division Two

  • 18 teams
  • 34 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Sussex County League Division One
  • Two relegations to the Sussex County League Division Three
  • They participate in the John O’Hara League Challenge Cup and Sussex County League Division Two Trophy

United Counties League Division One

  • 19 teams
  • 36 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the United Counties League Premier Division
  • Three relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Bedfordshire County League, Northamptonshire Combination League, Peterborough and District League)
  • They participate in the United Counties League Knockout Cup

Wessex League Division One

  • 16 teams
  • 30 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Wessex League Premier Division
  • Two relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Dorset Premier League, Hampshire Premier League)
  • They participate in the Wessex League Cup

West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division

  • 22 teams
  • 42 games (play each other once home and away)
  • One automatic promotion place to the Midland Alliance
  • Two relegations to the West Midlands (Regional) League Division One
  • They participate in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division Cup

Western League Division One

  • 21 teams
  • 40 games (play each other once home and away)
  • Two automatic promotion places to the Western League Premier Division
  • Three relegations to the Local Leagues at Level 11 (Gloucestershire County League, Somerset County League, Wiltshire League)
  • They participate in the Les Phillips Cup

Cup Competitions

FA Cup

  • All teams compete (see National Cups page for structure) and join at the Extra Preliminary Round
  • Final takes place at Wembley
  • Match is replayed if the first tie is a draw
  • If the replay is still level at 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time and if still level, a penalty shoot-out will decide the winner

FA Vase

  • Not all teams compete (see National Cups page for structure) and join at the First Qualifying Round
  • Final takes place at Wembley
  • If the tie is still level at 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time and if still level, a penalty shoot-out will decide the winner

League Cup Competitions

  • All teams compete in their respective league cup competition
  • Final takes place at a neutral venue
  • If the tie is still level at 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time and if still level, a penalty shoot-out will decide the winner
